Reynaldo Stephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Cristi, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Sportivo Italiano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Juliusz Cezar was slow to take the kick. During this time Equipo's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Equipo's Juliusz Cezar to fire away a dangerous shot which Reynaldo Stephen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ronaldo Cristi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 27 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper Reynaldo Stephen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Cristi. In the 30th minute, Evelio Pes had to leave the field with a concussion. 30 minutes into the game, Frederico Luz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Equipo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Sportivo Italiano the free kick. A collision led to Equipo getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Frederico Luz hit a great ball. Ismael Furman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theo Hayles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldo Cristi scored 3-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reynaldo Stephen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Club Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ronaldo Cristi 37 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. Equipo's Ismael Furman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theo Hayles in the 40th minute of play. Ronaldo Cristi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Reynaldo Stephen made a huge save. In the 46thth minute of the game Theo Hayles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Equipo's Ismael Furman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 47 played minutes Club Sportivo Italiano got a freekick which was hit by Sol Campbell.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Cristi to make the kick off. Theo Hayless short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Ismael Furman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Reynaldo Stephen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Cristi in the 56th minute of the match. Equipo's Pietro Salles was substituted for Ronaldo Cristi. Reynaldo Stephen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pietro Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harun Elçin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Stephen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Sportivo Italiano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Juliusz Cezar was slow to take the kick. During this time Equipo's players had a chance to rest. Pietro Salles struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Reynaldo Stephen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Equipo. Equipo's Ismael Furman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Equipo from getting a goal against them. In the 94th match minute, Equipo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sid Todd to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Equipo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Sportivo Italiano had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
