After 20 played minutes AFC FUSION got a freekick which was hit by Lino Rios. A collision led to AFC FUSION getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Thiago Silva hit a great ball. Roberto Eztebe made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Angel Alvarenga sent off a good shot on target. Máximo Perrone's late challenge caught a AFC FUSION's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Máximo Perrone helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Máximo Perrone. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Rios in the 29th minute of play. Sven-Edvin Jansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Roberto Eztebe made a huge save. Máximo Perrone got a throw-in 33 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Máximo Perrone. In the 34th match minute, AFC FUSION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonatan Maidana to maneuver through the defense. If Angel Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 39th minute of play forced AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lino Rios to strike the kick off in the second half. Christoff Stocks replaced Guido Txindoki. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Rios in the 83rd minute of play. Roberto Eztebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Villanueva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
