In the 7th minute of the match Atlético Grau Piura got a corner. AFC FUSION's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Federico Moura ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tartalo Delatorre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lino Rios's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute of the match AFC FUSION got a corner. Atlético Grau Piura's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dawid Beckham ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Oterino in the 17th minute of play forced AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Oterino came free with the goalkeeper in the 23rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roberto Eztebe could save by the left post. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Atlético Grau Piura:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AFC FUSION:s goal. Alan Varela hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabian Oterino to make the kick off. Atlético Grau Piura's Tartalo Delatorre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Rios in the 54th minute of play. Tartalo Delatorre didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 57th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Atlético Grau Piura made a substitution. Hulk Ulaş replaced King Reyes. The throw-in from Alan Varela in the 63rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by AFC FUSION's Dawid Beckham. After a defensive mix-up in AFC FUSION's zone, Fabian Oterino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Eztebe came out of the goal and Fabian Oterino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A sloppy throw-in by Alan Varela in the 73rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by AFC FUSION's Wojciech Fiszer. With a little luck, Atlético Grau Piura's Tartalo Delatorre got control of the ball when Christoff Stocks tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alan Varela made in the 76th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Hulk Ulaş immediately put the ball in play. In the 78th minute of the game Mario Sesuldo made a throw-in which Christoff Stocks played forward. In the 79th match minute, AFC FUSION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Arnau to maneuver through the defense. Christoff Stocks could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Tartalo Delatorre made a huge save. AFC FUSION's Aureliano Arnau got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AFC FUSION made a substitution. Kai Havertz replaced Dawid Beckham. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christoff Stocks got free with Tartalo Delatorre in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
