Tartalo Delatorre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zico Zellier in the 3rd minute of play. Sven-Edvin Jansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tartalo Delatorre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In the 9thth minute of the game Sven-Edvin Jansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Grau Piura's Tartalo Delatorre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tartalo Delatorre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Oterino in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nery Pumpido saved GuateFortín from getting behind. After 18 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Trotta. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Oterino in the 22nd minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atlético Grau Piura's Hulk Ulaş managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Roberto Trotta in the 26 minute of the game. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Heriberto Correa hit a great ball. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Oterino in the 30th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Sven-Edvin Jansson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tartalo Delatorre. Atlético Grau Piura's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sven-Edvin Jansson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Atlético Grau Piura's Tartalo Delatorre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Grau Piura from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Thierry Henry made the kick off in the second half. After 60 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Lozano. 62 minutes into the match, Atlético Grau Piura's goal looked a bit too open when Thierry Henry came free, but Tartalo Delatorre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save GuateFortín from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thierry Henry in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tartalo Delatorre saved Atlético Grau Piura from getting behind. Atlético Grau Piura's Tartalo Delatorre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Alvarenga in the 67th minute of play. Tartalo Delatorre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thierry Henry in the 68th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thierry Henry in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tartalo Delatorre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tartalo Delatorre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Almada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Junior Quintana in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nery Pumpido saved GuateFortín from getting behind. In the 85th minute, Hulk Ulaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Federico Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Atlético Grau Piura's Tartalo Delatorre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Villanueva in the 89th minute of play. Tartalo Delatorre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Almada in the 91st minute of play. Thiago Almada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Tartalo Delatorre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Junior Quintana in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The GuateFortín fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atlético Grau Piura had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
