In the 47th minute, Carabata Groove's David Rios dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Carabata Groove's Esteve Urtungo was substituted for David Rios. After the first half Loco De Remate were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rene Aires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Loco De Remate made a substitution. Hıdır Namal replaced Feliciano Iratxo. Hauk Hareide might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walmir Catarinense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hauk Hareide ran back to his position shaking his head.
