The Despidida AFC fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Despidida AFC's Dinu Ivănescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Emiliano Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Roland having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Meder Muños made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Åkesson came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Erez Marica ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Selatse was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Fernando Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lope Quijana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Intimos de Reynoso's zone, Alvaro Raymond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidio Roland came out of the goal and Alvaro Raymond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janpier Alvisto in the 89th minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Lope Quijana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Alvaro Raymond recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ovidio Roland. Alvaro Raymond showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3.
