Meder Muños blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edwin van der Sar having to make a save. 16 minutes into the match, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goal looked a bit too open when Meder Muños came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torsten Åkesson charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torsten Åkesson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Intimos de Reynoso's attentive Torsten Åkesson managed to snatch the ball when Mario Alberto Yepes made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. The throw-in from Mario Alberto Yepes in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Intimos de Reynoso's Torsten Åkesson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Björkänge got free with Edwin van der Sar in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the match, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goal looked a bit too open when Meder Muños came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Meder Muños had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meder Muños received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Edwin van der Sar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Edwin van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erez Marica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Intimos de Reynoso fans cheered their team off the field, for while ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
