The supporters of Palermo booed when Defensores del Tiki Tiki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Laurentzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnoldo Medina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Felipe Liher made a huge save. After taking down the ball on Palermo's corner Anthony Bonelli fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Felipe Liher quite easily take care of the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Defensores del Tiki Tiki's goalkeeper Felipe Liher had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Mino. Alfredo Joey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilla Bumin Hızlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Atilla Bumin Hızlan to strike the kick off in the second half. Hampus Nordström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Joey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Gaskon in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Palermo's goalkeeper Alfredo Joey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernát Szuper.
