In the 17th minute, Piara Santo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Teodosio Sergi, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmiro Oto got free with Teodosio Sergi in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronan Mistral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Burni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Piara Santo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodosio Sergi was relentless in the 35th minute of the game.
