The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. C. A. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Ariel Ponc as he didn't even see the shot coming. Sidney Forbes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ariel Ponc came out and tried to block the shot, but Sidney Forbes slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 30th minute. In the 34th minute Xu Yun Quan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 97th minute of the game was made by Urbano Mendiko with Imam Sarwono as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Independiente's zone, Mauricio Macías stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Farid Mondragón came out of the goal and Mauricio Macías tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
