The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edinson Haaland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Teodosio Sergi made a huge save. Arnoldo Mel kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Frank Frankfurter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Cordario in the 18th minute of play. Roni Ronaldinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Velez Sarsfield's Teodosio Sergi got control of the ball when Edinson Haaland tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teodosio Sergi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Günther Doty in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Roni Ronaldinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute Günther Doty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Sergi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Xu Yong Feng managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Arnoldo Mel in the 32 minute of the game. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Frank Frankfurter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Cordario in the 36th minute of play. Teodosio Sergi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Günther Doty in the 37th minute of play. Augusto Cordario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Frank Frankfurter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Cordario stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Chinese CJ Youth Academy's goalkeeper Frank Frankfurter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Cordario. Teodosio Sergi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinson Haaland, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Sun Zhi Zhen kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Edinson Haaland notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Velez Sarsfield's Teodosio Sergi. Teodosio Sergi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Teodosio Sergi came out of the goal and Günther Doty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edinson Haaland scored 3-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodosio Sergi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute, Günther Doty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Lu Zhan Jian was substituted for Xu Yong Feng. Frank Frankfurter made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Ago Tramp sent off a good shot on target. Teodosio Sergi had in the 90thth minute some difficulties stopping Roni Ronaldinho's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Augusto Cordario came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Velez Sarsfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Cordario couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the game, Bai Feng Xiang threw the ball into play from the sideline. Velez Sarsfield's Javier Pinola quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Teodosio Sergi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tytus Orling went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. For all the effort they put into the match, the Velez Sarsfield players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chinese CJ Youth Academy.
