Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Tiburcio Kiliz came free, but Erwin Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gwidon Arnista who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of Erwin Huygens when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario got a free kick in the 7th minute. Erwin Huygens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Åke Fransson in the 9th minute of play. Tiburcio Kiliz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Erwin Huygens made a huge save. The Zagórna fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Zagórna's Gwidon Arnista looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 19 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Ronan Mistral. In the 23rd minute, Augusto Cordario left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Velez Sarsfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 26th minute Jan-Åke Fransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Kiliz in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gwidon Arnista. Marian Gniech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Cordario in the 34th minute of play. Erwin Huygens was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jan-Åke Fransson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 40 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Kiliz in the 59th minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erwin Huygens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwidon Arnista, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Åke Fransson in the 67th minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marian Gniech made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Augusto Cordario sent off a good shot on target. Zagórna's Ziemowit Soszka was substituted for Tomás Figueroa. 77 minutes into the game, Zagórna's Jan-Åke Fransson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erwin Huygens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Velez Sarsfield's Yiyo Bernal was substituted for Marcos Pacifico. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Ago Tramp replaced Filomeno Montrell. Erwin Huygens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uluç Tekinalp in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Ago Tramp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute Jan-Åke Fransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erwin Huygens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Åke Fransson in the 89th minute of the match. Zagórna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lech Marek in the 92nd minute. A well done corner resulted in Marcu Voinea drilling the ball in to score 6-1 behind Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper. Zagórna's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
