Aureliano Ovando came free with the goalkeeper in the 3rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Erwin Huygens could save by the left post. Aureliano Ovando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Erwin Huygens made a huge save. Martin Rito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Pinola in the 12th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, C. A. BELGRANO's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Cordario came free, but Martin Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Gustavo Eladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Rito came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario. But to his dismay, Augusto Cordario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martin Rito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Cordario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Augusto Cordario made the kick off in the second half. Velez Sarsfield's attentive Ando Averin managed to snatch the ball when Edelmiro Jago made a throw-in in the 51st minute of the game. Edelmiro Jago made in the 52nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Silvio Valerio. Martin Rito was a little too slow when Filomeno Montrell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 61st minute Augusto Cordario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Rito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C. A. BELGRANO made a substitution. Nunez Noe replaced Silvio Valerio. C. A. BELGRANO's Rigoberto Lauaxeta was substituted for Aureliano Ovando. C. A. BELGRANO made a substitution. Onur Ali Cespan replaced Gustavo Eladio. A throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game was made by Nunez Noe with Rigoberto Lauaxeta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. A hard shot 67 in the game by Augusto Cordario from a close distance when the talented Martin Rito managed to make a qualified save. C. A. BELGRANO's players were relieved. Velez Sarsfield were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after C. A. BELGRANO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Augusto Cordario took the corner. Velez Sarsfield's Leandro Berti was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Martin Rito in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Leandro Berti did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Martin Rito 81 minutes into the match. A throw-in in the 87th minute of the game was made by Edelmiro Jago with Jaime Alfonso as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 88 minutes into the match, Onur Ali Cespan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erwin Huygens. Velez Sarsfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Onur Ali Cespan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. A sloppy throw-in by Ando Averin in the 93rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by C. A. BELGRANO's Edelmiro Jago. The Velez Sarsfield players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
