In the 12th minute of the match Marquês de Herval got a corner. Grimório's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Moussa Kabre ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marquês de Herval's Moussa Kabre was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Waldemar Pawlik in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tõnis Kaldvee in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute Dorian Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Pawlik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grimório's Waldemar Pawlik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Martins in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Grimório's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Martins came free, but Waldemar Pawlik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moussa Kabre in the 68th minute of play forced Grimório's goalkeeper Waldemar Pawlik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Grimório getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Kusti Jaas hit a great ball. Alo Ülipikk made in the 74th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Konrad Värnik.
