Juvenal Talló made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Pombal in the 12th minute of play. Lütfi Kutlubay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Hooker in the 13th minute of play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bene Animatus's goalkeeper Juvenal Talló, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Lütfi Kutlubay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Hooker in the 23rd minute of play. Bene Animatus were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gao Jian Jie took the corner. The corner ended in Gao Jian Jie almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Lütfi Kutlubay did a great save. Chiquinho Pombal might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juvenal Talló. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chiquinho Pombal ran back to his position shaking his head. 34 minutes into the match, Chiquinho Pombal notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bene Animatus's Juvenal Talló. Juvenal Talló was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Juvenal Talló took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiquinho Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chiquinho Pombal struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Juvenal Talló didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa.

The supporters of Bene Animatus booed when Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Otsando didn't get a good kick on the ball.
