An unexpectedly hard shot by Herman Lindholm in the 11th minute of play forced Defensores de Belén's goalkeeper Thanasis Papadimitriou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Defensores de Belén's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Vistruario came free, but Thanasis Papadimitriou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Encarale a la gordita fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Encarale a la gordita's 武光星 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tao Ke Qiang might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shao Shu Lang. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tao Ke Qiang ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanasis Papadimitriou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 武光星 in the 23rd minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Defensores de Belén got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Anaya. In the 30th minute Tao Ke Qiang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shao Shu Lang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 武光星's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thanasis Papadimitriou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Encarale a la gordita's goalkeeper Shao Shu Lang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zbigniew Wyciszkiewicz. Tao Ke Qiang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shao Shu Lang having to interfere. Herman Lindholm kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 47th minute Saverio Vistruario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thanasis Papadimitriou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Encarale a la gordita made a substitution. Jurand Sienkowski replaced 武光星. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jurand Sienkowski to make the kick off. With a little luck, Defensores de Belén's Thanasis Papadimitriou got control of the ball when Saverio Vistruario tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jurand Sienkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Thanasis Papadimitriou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Encarale a la gordita's Ni Bin Zhen got a free kick in the 77th minute. Thanasis Papadimitriou came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Encarale a la gordita's Jurand Sienkowski. But to his dismay, Jurand Sienkowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Encarale a la gordita were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Defensores de Belén's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Miromir Pieknik took the corner. The crowd rose to their feet as Encarale a la gordita's Saverio Vistruario slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thanasis Papadimitriou. That made the score 1-3 after 94 minutes of play.
