Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eulalio Callejas started the match with the kick off. The throw-in from Danilo Quiroga in the 4th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Defensores de Belén's Baldomiro Anaya. Eulalio Callejas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Thanasis Papadimitriou came out and tried to block the shot, but Eulalio Callejas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Defensores de Belén's goalkeeper Thanasis Papadimitriou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eulalio Callejas. In the 26th minute Eladio Ulloa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thanasis Papadimitriou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanasis Papadimitriou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eladio Ulloa in the 26th minute of play. José Luis Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tao Ke Qiang in the 28th minute of play. Thanasis Papadimitriou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waclaw Dombrowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Eulalio Callejas might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thanasis Papadimitriou. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eulalio Callejas ran back to his position shaking his head. After 37 minutes, Eulalio Callejas made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Defensores de Belén's Thanasis Papadimitriou tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ballet Azul's José Luis Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tao Ke Qiang in the 44th minute of play. Eladio Ulloa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Thanasis Papadimitriou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tao Ke Qiang was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Eulalio Callejas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thanasis Papadimitriou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Eulalio Callejas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thanasis Papadimitriou. Defensores de Belén's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eulalio Callejas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Ballet Azul made a substitution. René Puente replaced Santiago Cardenas. The supporters of Defensores de Belén booed when Ballet Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eladio Ulloa didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Ballet Azul's José Luis Chilavert got control of the ball when Tao Ke Qiang tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tao Ke Qiang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ballet Azul made a substitution. Odín Enríquez replaced Eulalio Callejas. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tao Ke Qiang got free with José Luis Chilavert in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaston Frantzes kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Thanasis Papadimitriou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waclaw Dombrowski in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute René Puente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thanasis Papadimitriou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Defensores de Belén's Thanasis Papadimitriou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by René Puente in the 86th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, René Puente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thanasis Papadimitriou. Defensores de Belén's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that René Puente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 94 minutes into the match, Defensores de Belén's goal looked a bit too open when Odín Enríquez came free, but Thanasis Papadimitriou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ballet Azul were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Defensores de Belén for a fine match.
