The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tao Ke Qiang stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tao Ke Qiang might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Luis Chilavert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tao Ke Qiang ran back to his position shaking his head. Ballet Azul's José Luis Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tao Ke Qiang in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Eulalio Callejas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Johans was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and René Puente capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. René Puente really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2.
