Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eulalio Callejas kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Caroya Forever's goalkeeper Hugo Ibar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 5th minute, Romeo Passi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Luis Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prudencio Froila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute, one of Ballet Azul:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ballet Azul. Ballet Azul's José Luis Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Froila in the 17th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Tomás Pacifico put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of José Luis Chilavert. José Luis Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Froila, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Eulalio Callejas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Ibar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. José Luis Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Pacifico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Luis Chilavert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Pacifico went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Hugo Ibar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Callejas in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34thth minute of the game Prudencio Froila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballet Azul's José Luis Chilavert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th minute Santiago Cardenas suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 35 minutes into the game, Constantino Ihazintu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caroya Forever's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballet Azul the free kick. Ballet Azul made a substitution. René Puente replaced Santiago Cardenas. In the 37th minute, Constantino Ihazintu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Hugo Ibar managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Ballet Azul's Eladio Ulloa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Flavio Federigo fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caroya Forever's protests and gave Flavio Federigo a yellow card for diving instead. Flavio Federigo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When Prudencio Froila came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Caroya Forever fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prudencio Froila couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Tomás Pacificos short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got José Luis Chilavert to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Prudencio Froila in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Luis Chilavert saved Ballet Azul from getting behind. In the 63rd minute of the match Caroya Forever got a corner. Ballet Azul's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomás Pacifico ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some careless play in the Caroya Forever defense, René Puente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hugo Ibar. The Caroya Forever fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hugo Ibar should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd match minute, Caroya Forever was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Pacifico to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Ibar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from René Puente in the 74th minute of play. After 75 minutes Caroya Forever's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Waclaw Dombrowski who took care of the corner kick. Flavio Federigo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Aleksander Fafinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Luis Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Caroya Forever getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Constantino Ihazintu hit a great ball. Eulalio Callejas took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Ibar. Hugo Ibar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Prudencio Froila received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. José Luis Chilavert came out and tried to block the shot, but Prudencio Froila slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 91st minute. After 94 played minutes Caroya Forever got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Corderro. Although Ballet Azul had been in control for most of the match, Caroya Forever still came away with the win.
