Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Cesaro in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Luis Chilavert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Luis Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Cesaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After some careless play in the Ballet Azul defense, Carlos Cesaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Luis Chilavert. The Ballet Azul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Luis Chilavert should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Callejas in the 14th minute of play forced MARTINETA's goalkeeper Bartolo Beliran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, MARTINETA's goalkeeper Bartolo Beliran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by René Puente. 18 minutes into the match, MARTINETA's goal looked a bit too open when Esequiel Dohrmann came free, but Bartolo Beliran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves René Puente could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Bartolo Beliran however easily saved by the left post. Carlos Cesaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Luis Chilavert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esequiel Dohrmann in the 32nd minute of play forced MARTINETA's goalkeeper Bartolo Beliran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ballet Azul booed when MARTINETA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lv Qiang Xiao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to MARTINETA's goalie finding himself so far out he could grab the ball Pepe Rojas tried to make a shot after getting passed the defense. Bartolo Beliran seemed to really have strength and confidence after that save. Ballet Azul's Waclaw Dombrowski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bartolo Beliran in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Bartolo Beliran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eladio Ulloa's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. With a little luck, MARTINETA's Bartolo Beliran got control of the ball when Eulalio Callejas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Cesaro to strike the kick off in the second half. Danilo Quiroga made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by MARTINETA's Nacho Roca. Lv Qiang Xiao hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Carlos Cesaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. MARTINETA's Bartolo Beliran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by René Puente in the 60th minute of play. José Luis Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Cesaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Bartolo Beliran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Callejas in the 62nd minute of the match. José Luis Chilavert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Cesaro in the 66th minute. José Luis Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Cesaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, MARTINETA's José Luis Chilavert threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lv Qiang Xiao, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 90thth minute of the game João Severino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballet Azul's José Luis Chilavert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 0-2 when João Severino sped through Ballet Azul's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Luis Chilavert. In the 93rd match minute, MARTINETA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Mammana to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th match minute, Ballet Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Sánchez to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lv Qiang Xiao in the 97th minute of play forced Ballet Azul's goalkeeper José Luis Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. MARTINETA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
