The referee ignored Club Vertigo's protests and gave Nechifor Cucerdean a yellow card for diving instead. Nechifor Cucerdean hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Flavio Cifuentes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ovidiu Caranfil. The goal made the score 3-0. After some careless play in the Club Vertigo defense, Flavio Cifuentes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ovidiu Caranfil. The Club Vertigo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ovidiu Caranfil should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Club Vertigo's Nikulás Benediktsson got a free kick in the 21st minute. Taltum FC's Flavio Cifuentes got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flavio Cifuentes scored 5-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ovidiu Caranfil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th match minute, Taltum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andres Tufiño to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Flavio Cifuentes took a quick shot and it went in 6-0 without a chance for Ovidiu Caranfil to make any attempt to save it. 32 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Cifuentes came free, but Ovidiu Caranfil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidiu Caranfil came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Taltum FC's Flavio Cifuentes. But to his dismay, Flavio Cifuentes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Flavio Cifuentes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidiu Caranfil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Taltum FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcelo Cavenaghi in the 41st minute. Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Club Vertigo from getting a goal against them. Ovidiu Caranfil made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Flavio Cifuentes sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Flavio Cifuentes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taltum FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Cifuentes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidiu Caranfil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flavio Cifuentes was the one to do the kick off. Taltum FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Obregón Pardemanos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70thth minute of the game Obregón Pardemanos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ovidiu Caranfil came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Taltum FC's Obregón Pardemanos. But to his dismay, Obregón Pardemanos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. Ovidiu Caranfil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Obregón Pardemanos's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. When the referee ended the match the Taltum FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
