The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 5 minutes, Florencio Cordarryl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ANTIBOSTEROS FUTBOL CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Cordarryl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Florencio Cordarryl managed to get in a good position for a shot. ANTIBOSTEROS FUTBOL CLUB's supporters rose to their feet, but Florencio Cordarryl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Cutberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Herminio Arnas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juliano Álvarez in the 11th minute of the match. Edgard Paz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herminio Arnas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Niguel, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Jorge Cutberto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flavius Pârâianu went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 26 minutes into the game, RIVER PINAMAR fc's Aleksander Piszczor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Herminio Arnas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 28th minute Juliano Álvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Arnas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herminio Arnas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juliano Álvarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute Aleksander Piszczor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Arnas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aleksander Piszczor in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herminio Arnas saved ANTIBOSTEROS FUTBOL CLUB from getting behind. ANTIBOSTEROS FUTBOL CLUB's Herminio Arnas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Niguel in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ANTIBOSTEROS FUTBOL CLUB! After the first half RIVER PINAMAR fc were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florencio Cordarryl to make the kick off. Jorge Cutberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Cordarryl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
