Herminio Arnas came out of the goal and Rene Aires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Berasko in the 33rd minute of play forced Loco De Remate's goalkeeper Walmir Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herminio Arnas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Aires, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Herminio Arnas came out and tried to block the shot, but Rene Aires slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florencio Cordarryl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
