With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Frankfurter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th match minute, Despidida AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Silban to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Selatse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinson Haaland, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Alvaro Raymond managed to get in a good position for a shot. Despidida AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvaro Raymond was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Tytus Orling was substituted for Lucjan Falkiewicz. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alvaro Raymond stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Su Jian Jie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Su Jian Jie in the 56th minute of play. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's attack was well implemented in the 70th minute, but when Edinson Haaland was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Despidida AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
