When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Orçun Yalınalp sped through Basmane Texas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Franco Armani. 7 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Baldomiro Txindoki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gürsel Aksel. In the 9th minute, Gürsel Aksel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baldomiro Txindoki was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Baldomiro Txindoki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save FC UNIREA Alba Iulia from getting a goal against them. After 18 minutes of play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Eric Luican made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franco Armani was left in no man's land by his defense there! 25 minutes into the match, Petrică Cândreanu notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Basmane Texas's Franco Armani. Franco Armani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Baldomiro Txindoki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save FC UNIREA Alba Iulia from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Basmane Texas getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Feridun Elmacı hit a great ball. Wilson Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orçun Yalınalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Armani having to interfere. Gürsel Aksel struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Baldomiro Txindoki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Basmane Texas. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gürsel Aksel got free with Baldomiro Txindoki in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Emil Hansson in the 47th minute of play forced Basmane Texas's goalkeeper Franco Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute FC UNIREA Alba Iulia were awarded a corner. Petrică Cândreanu went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Wilson Arósio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Franco Armani quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gürsel Aksel made a kick off. Baldomiro Txindoki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürsel Aksel, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Franco Armani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Luican in the 56th minute of the match. In the last second Franco Armani throw himself and got hold of the ball when Eric Luican in the 64thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 65 minutes Basmane Texas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Petrică Cândreanu who took care of the corner kick. Nicolae Ungureanu hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Franco Armani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nils-Emil Hansson in the 72nd minute. Baldomiro Txindoki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürsel Aksel, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Gürsel Aksel scored 2-3 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baldomiro Txindoki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Baldomiro Txindoki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürsel Aksel in the 90th minute of play. Franco Armani made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Orçun Yalınalp sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Basmane Texas booed when FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolae Ungureanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nelson Rufino kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 97thth minute of the game Orçun Yalınalp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Basmane Texas's Franco Armani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia played a much better game than Basmane Texas and deserved their victory. The Basmane Texas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
