CAN ERZURUM's Rolando Betadur quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Sven-Olof Vestlund struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Calistrat Madgearu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CAN ERZURUM. Joar Scheie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the CAN ERZURUM defense, Tiberiu Caramarin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joar Scheie. The CAN ERZURUM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joar Scheie should have stopped the shot. 17 minutes into the game, Sven-Olof Vestlund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Calistrat Madgearu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind CAN ERZURUM's goalkeeper Joar Scheie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CAN ERZURUM's Joar Scheie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save CAN ERZURUM from getting a goal against them. In the 35th minute Sven-Olof Vestlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Madgearu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, CAN ERZURUM's Javier Zanetti got a free kick in the 36th minute. 46 minutes in the game Ivan Vâtcă did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tiberiu Caramarin. When Ivan Vâtcă fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MIT's protests and gave Ivan Vâtcă a yellow card for diving instead. Ivan Vâtcă kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Pan Wei Quan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolando Betadur hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. If Pan Wei Quan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Sven-Olof Vestlund managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAN ERZURUM's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Olof Vestlund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calistrat Madgearu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Calistrat Madgearu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Olof Vestlund in the 75th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, CAN ERZURUM's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Caramarin came free, but Joar Scheie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Tiberiu Caramarin made a precise shot to the right of Joar Scheie. CAN ERZURUM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. CAN ERZURUM's Charles Puyol was substituted for Rolando Betadur. Joar Scheie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 86th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in MIT's zone, Sven-Olof Vestlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calistrat Madgearu came out of the goal and Sven-Olof Vestlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joar Scheie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Bucataru in the 96th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
