Rene Rostholm scored 0-6 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ted Kobbeltvedt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th minute, Rene Rostholm left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Randers A.F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernst Barskov was the one to do the kick off. Ayvaz Taşkesen hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save FC Drik from getting a goal against them. 60 minutes into the match, Randers A.F.C.'s Rene Rostholm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ted Kobbeltvedt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Rene Rostholm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Drik's Ayvaz Taşkesen got a free kick in the 64th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Rene Rostholm kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ted Kobbeltvedt. That made the score 0-8 in the 66 minute of play. Rene Rostholm might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ted Kobbeltvedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rene Rostholm ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 73 minutes, Rene Rostholm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Randers A.F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Rostholm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Randers A.F.C.'s Nik Frisendal was substituted for Radim Gola. Hemming Glykær's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nichlas Vesterdahl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Drik from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Randers A.F.C.'s Léo Barros got a free kick in the 84th minute. Ted Kobbeltvedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grisha Mbappè in the 88th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grisha Mbappè got free with Ted Kobbeltvedt in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute Grisha Mbappè shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Kobbeltvedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Randers A.F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Drik.
