An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryszard Pilipiec in the 7th minute of play forced MKS Legion Częstochowa's goalkeeper Paco Dean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of MKS Legion Częstochowa's goalie and right to Kazimierz Dylla. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. MKS Legion Częstochowa's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 19th minute Kazimierz Dylla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paco Dean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Pogoń Stawiszyn's Kazimierz Dylla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paco Dean made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Gilbert Podolski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Emanuel Durães hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. MKS Legion Częstochowa's Paco Dean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryszard Pilipiec in the 41st minute of play. Ryszard Pilipiec took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paco Dean. Paco Dean dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 44th minute, Ryszard Pilipiec left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pogoń Stawiszyn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ryszard Pilipiec was the one to do the kick off. When the match was over Pogoń Stawiszyn could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MKS Legion Częstochowa throughout the match.
