When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ryszard Pilipiec made a kick off. Kazimierz Dylla came free with the goalkeeper in the 51st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Filip Topolski could save by the left post. Kazimierz Dyllas short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Filip Topolski to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ziemowit Smolarek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Gilbert Podolski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
