A hard shot by Tomasz Gorzkiewicz from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Arkadiusz Smolarek's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ziemowit Lichorobiec kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diogo Martins in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arkadiusz Smolarek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roland Laureys made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Spartan FC Mogilany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomasz Gorzkiewicz to maneuver through the defense. After 55 played minutes Katowice i Kluczbork got a freekick which was hit by Edson de Lima. In the 56th minute, Eric Florescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arkadiusz Smolarek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wojciech Skaradowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 63 minutes into the game, Spartan FC Mogilany's Wojciech Skaradowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arkadiusz Smolarek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Diogo Martins sped through Katowice i Kluczbork's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arkadiusz Smolarek. Katowice i Kluczbork made a substitution. Bogdan Gabis replaced Adelino Bastos. In the 72ndth minute of the game Diogo Martins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Katowice i Kluczbork's Arkadiusz Smolarek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A nice corner shot did that Leroy Parkinson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arkadiusz Smolarek quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Diogo Martins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arkadiusz Smolarek having to make a save. Octavian Nicolescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Arkadiusz Smolarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Spartan FC Mogilany's Konstanty Smolarek in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Katowice i Kluczbork's goalie prevented a goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Spartan FC Mogilany fully deserved thier win.
