In the 9th minute Jan Kisielka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Madgearu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiberiu Caramarin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toader Tinu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Tiberiu Caramarin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Toader Tinu. The goal made the score 2-1. Mihăiţă Ilarie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Toader Tinu made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI made a substitution. Muzaffer Bozoğlu replaced Sabin Elenescu. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiberiu Caramarin to make the kick off. MIT's Calistrat Madgearu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabríel Batistuta in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Jan Kisielka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 57 minutes, Nicodim Orășan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MIT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicodim Orășan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, MIT's goalkeeper Calistrat Madgearu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabríel Batistuta. If Mihăiţă Ilarie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute Mihăiţă Ilarie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Tinu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiberiu Caramarin scored 5-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toader Tinu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, MIT's Radu Sărăroiu got a free kick in the 69th minute. BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI's Kiko Alonso was substituted for Yusuf Ziya Asya. BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI's Mateus Migolla was substituted for Gabríel Batistuta. In the 70th minute, Radu Sărăroiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MIT's Bogdan Bucataru was substituted for Mihăiţă Ilarie. In the 83rd minute of the match MIT got a corner. BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bogdan Bucataru ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Bogdan Bucataru almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI's Toader Tinu did a great save. 85 minutes into the match, BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Caramarin came free, but Toader Tinu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI's zone, Tiberiu Caramarin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toader Tinu came out of the goal and Tiberiu Caramarin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. MIT made a substitution. Aurel Buzea replaced Florin Seremet. Nicodim Orășan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toader Tinu having to interfere. When Tiberiu Caramarin came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the MIT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiberiu Caramarin couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI's Tuğrul Yesari got a free kick in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MIT fans cheered their team off the field, for while BEŞİKTAŞ ALTYAPI had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
