Calistrat Madgearu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedykt Lanczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Onur-Recep Kıvrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 25th minute of play. Florin Seremet made in the 27th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tiberiu Caramarin immediately put the ball in play. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Benedykt Lanczak took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Calistrat Madgearu to make any attempt to save it. After 45 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Ilarie. Calistrat Madgearu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedykt Lanczak, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by MIT's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mikayıl Malişov was slow to take the kick. During this time Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Behzat Tanyeli almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MIT's Calistrat Madgearu did a great save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes into the match, MIT's goal looked a bit too open when Benedykt Lanczak came free, but Calistrat Madgearu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Tiberiu Caramarin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Onur-Recep Kıvrak. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 58th minute Benedykt Lanczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Madgearu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's attentive Ferdi Eriş managed to snatch the ball when Alex Balotă made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiberiu Caramarin during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ booed when MIT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiberiu Caramarin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Ahmet Harun Siraceddin was substituted for Einar Hedström. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Deng Jie Wei was substituted for Benedykt Lanczak. Nicodim Orășan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Onur-Recep Kıvrak having to interfere. With a little luck, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Onur-Recep Kıvrak got control of the ball when Nicodim Orășan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Onur-Recep Kıvrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Onur-Recep Kıvrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Tunander in the 82nd minute of play forced Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goalkeeper Onur-Recep Kıvrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Tunander got free with Onur-Recep Kıvrak in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Onur-Recep Kıvrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 86th minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match, Tiberiu Caramarin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Onur-Recep Kıvrak saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 89 minutes into the match, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Deng Jie Wei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Calistrat Madgearu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, David Tunander notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Onur-Recep Kıvrak. Onur-Recep Kıvrak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. MIT's Aurel Buzea was substituted for Florin Seremet. MIT's Bogdan Bucataru was substituted for Mihăiţă Ilarie. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
