The Melandru de Cenero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, S.D NARCEA's Paquito Rey got a free kick in the 16th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Calisto Zaplana got free with Andrea Perez in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Germán Figueres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xurdin Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Cienfuegos in the 24th minute of play forced S.D NARCEA's goalkeeper Germán Figueres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Melandru de Cenero's Xurdin Pena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Germán Figueres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 27 minutes into the game, Melandru de Cenero's Xurdin Pena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Germán Figueres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 32 minutes into the game, when Nunez Urtzi put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Melandru de Cenero fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Melandru de Cenero:s Andrea Perez showed great skill when he stopped Félix Zărnescu:s penalty. 36 minutes into the match, Melandru de Cenero's Fabio Cienfuegos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Germán Figueres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joachim Incera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Germán Figueres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Melandru de Cenero's Andrea Perez got control of the ball when Manel Quintanilla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Germán Figueres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Cienfuegos in the 42nd minute of the match. Melandru de Cenero's Fabio Cienfuegos got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugeniusz Milko was the one to do the kick off. Melandru de Cenero's Andrea Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caio Freire in the 52nd minute of play. When Xurdin Pena came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Melandru de Cenero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xurdin Pena couldn't finish the play. Andrea Perez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugeniusz Milko went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 61st minute, Everett Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Germán Figueres managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Melandru de Cenero's Fabio Cienfuegos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Fabio Cienfuegos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.D NARCEA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leonards Štucers was slow to take the kick. During this time Melandru de Cenero's players had a chance to rest. Joachim Incera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germán Figueres having to interfere. Calisto Zaplana struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Andrea Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.D NARCEA. S.D NARCEA were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Melandru de Cenero for a fine match.
