The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ray De Lauw showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everett Gerber in the 5th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Melandru de Cenero's goal looked a bit too open when Ascencio Quintas came free, but Andrea Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Ascencio Quintas took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Andrea Perez to make any attempt to save it. Ray De Lauw showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Incera in the 20th minute of the match. Vetusta's Ray De Lauw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everett Gerber in the 24th minute of play. Jose-Manuel Jauregui kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vetusta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leonards Štucers was slow to take the kick. During this time Melandru de Cenero's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Nunez Urtzi managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ray De Lauw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Urtzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Melandru de Cenero booed when Vetusta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ascencio Quintas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Ascencio Quintas took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Andrea Perez to make any attempt to save it. In the 40th minute Ascencio Quintas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrea Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose-Manuel Jauregui struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Andrea Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vetusta. If Ascencio Quintas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ascencio Quintas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Andrea Perez made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xurdin Pena was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Vetusta's goal looked a bit too open when Everett Gerber came free, but Ray De Lauw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Everett Gerber in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ray De Lauw prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Melandru de Cenero's Andrea Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ascencio Quintas in the 55th minute of play. Vetusta's attentive Iosu Toxeiro managed to snatch the ball when Norbert Dömötör made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. After 60 minutes Melandru de Cenero's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andresito Sacristán who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, Vetusta's Ray De Lauw got control of the ball when Xurdin Pena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ray De Lauw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Cienfuegos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Everett Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray De Lauw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Ray De Lauw throw himself and got hold of the ball when Fabio Cienfuegos in the 70thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 74th minute, Norbert Dömötör hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Melandru de Cenero's Norbert Dömötör got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 77 played minutes Vetusta got a freekick which was hit by Nicolás Rua. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Ascencio Quintas sped through Melandru de Cenero's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andrea Perez.
