Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Macabeo Sampil started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes S.D NARCEA got a freekick which was hit by Calisto Zaplana. An unexpectedly hard shot by Macabeo Sampil in the 5th minute of play forced S.D NARCEA's goalkeeper Germán Figueres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germán Figueres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Macabeo Sampil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Macabeo Sampil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julen Castellano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Germán Figueres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugeniusz Milko in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artur Boruc saved Rayo Bengala from getting behind. After having played for 32 minutes, Manel Quintanilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.D NARCEA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manel Quintanilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Artur Boruc came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by S.D NARCEA's Calisto Zaplana. But to his dismay, Calisto Zaplana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paquito Rey in the 42nd minute of play forced Rayo Bengala's goalkeeper Artur Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Rayo Bengala's Teodosio Lorenzo got a free kick in the 46th minute. Félix Zărnescu, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Macabeo Sampil in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Germán Figueres saved S.D NARCEA from getting behind. Julen Castellano took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Germán Figueres. Germán Figueres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. S.D NARCEA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Félix Zărnescu in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paquito Rey in the 64th minute of play forced Rayo Bengala's goalkeeper Artur Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Boruc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugeniusz Milko in the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Rayo Bengala's goal looked a bit too open when Eugeniusz Milko came free, but Artur Boruc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paquito Rey kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Germán Figueres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Macabeo Sampil, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Germán Figueres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julen Castellano in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Calisto Zaplana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When S.D NARCEA's Eugeniusz Milko in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rayo Bengala's goalie prevented a goal. Nerio Etxeberria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Germán Figueres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rayo Bengala's Artur Boruc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugeniusz Milko in the 89th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Palacios Bobes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Germán Figueres. S.D NARCEA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Palacios Bobes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Rayo Bengala's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
