Arnoud de Pelsmakere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrián Espadas in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Mehat Kovaçi made a precise shot to the right of Dan Wennerqvist. Soroca F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Mehat Kovaçi might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Wennerqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehat Kovaçi in the 40th minute of play forced Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Dan Wennerqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mehat Kovaçi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dan Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehat Kovaçi in the 42nd minute of play. Arnoud de Pelsmakere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Lano, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Arnoud de Pelsmakere made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hernan Lano in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrián Espadas to make the kick off. Cougars FC's Jannic De Vreese managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cyprien Combaz in the 78 minute of the game. Gerardo Nesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Dan Wennerqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
