In the 18th minute, Fiori Guimarães fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ritchie Stansfield, passed just outside the right post. After 26 played minutes Real Ayuntamiento CF got a freekick which was hit by Şehzade Mustafa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehat Kovaçi in the 27th minute of play forced Real Ayuntamiento CF's goalkeeper Ritchie Stansfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnoud de Pelsmakere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blažej Blazejowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Mehat Kovaçi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ritchie Stansfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blažej Blazejowski in the 34th minute of play forced Cougars FC's goalkeeper Arnoud de Pelsmakere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cougars FC's Arnoud de Pelsmakere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Cucao in the 36th minute of play. Real Ayuntamiento CF's Ritchie Stansfield proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Real Ayuntamiento CF from getting a goal against them.

Pedro Cucao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Arnoud de Pelsmakere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehat Kovaçi in the 54th minute of play forced Real Ayuntamiento CF's goalkeeper Ritchie Stansfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 61 minutes into the game, when Melquiades Ignado put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Real Ayuntamiento CF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! The supporters of Cougars FC booed when Real Ayuntamiento CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şehzade Mustafa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Mehat Kovaçi came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Cougars FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehat Kovaçi couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, Mehat Kovaçi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cougars FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 86 played minutes Real Ayuntamiento CF got a freekick which was hit by Şehzade Mustafa. After a rather tough play, Real Ayuntamiento CF's Feliberto Distiratsu got a free kick in the 88th minute. Steffen Gimlinge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Cougars FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
