Koča Kafarov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Ovidio Roland made a huge save. Exequiel Viera made in the 37th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Pawel Engler however managed to control. Pawel Engler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lu Zhen Sheng having to interfere. Lu Zhen Sheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Meder Muños, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

DREAM TEAM WORLD's Elpidio Curcio was substituted for Jonathan Otto. 55 minutes into the match, Intimos de Reynoso's goal looked a bit too open when Koča Kafarov came free, but Ovidio Roland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Intimos de Reynoso's Erez Marica was substituted for Meder Muños. In the 64th minute of the game Katia Marto made a throw-in which Erez Marica played forward. If Koča Kafarov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ovidio Roland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koča Kafarov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the DREAM TEAM WORLD defense, Lope Quijana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lu Zhen Sheng. The DREAM TEAM WORLD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lu Zhen Sheng should have stopped the shot. Ovidio Roland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Cardozo in the 84th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Elpidio Curcio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ovidio Roland was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
