The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dario Betzanos in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jose Boldu saved Deportivo ScrugenFC from getting behind. The supporters of Golden Dragón F.C booed when Deportivo ScrugenFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Junior Busquets didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Kieth Hustinx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jose Boldu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Betzanos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hilario Pesquera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zoil Pequeño in the 17th minute of play. Zoil Pequeño blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hilario Pesquera having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoil Pequeño in the 24th minute of play forced Golden Dragón F.C's goalkeeper Hilario Pesquera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hilario Pesquera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Junior Busquets in the 25th minute of play. Jose Boldu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dario Betzanos went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Deportivo ScrugenFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Regis Padriña hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zoil Pequeño in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hilario Pesquera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zoil Pequeño blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hilario Pesquera having to make a save. 37 minutes into the match, Golden Dragón F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Zoil Pequeño came free, but Hilario Pesquera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aureliusz Vaabengaard kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zoil Pequeño made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Deportivo ScrugenFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Betzanos came free, but Jose Boldu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose Boldu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Betzanos in the 65th minute of the match. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Leobardo Padierna was substituted for Zoil Pequeño. In the 75th match minute, Deportivo ScrugenFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zoil Pequeño to maneuver through the defense. Alan Petersen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hilario Pesquera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leobardo Padierna went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Golden Dragón F.C's Camerino Luey was substituted for Selim Mićić. 88 minutes into the game, Golden Dragón F.C's Camerino Luey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jose Boldu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Leobardo Padierna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Hilario Pesquera made a huge save. In the 96th minute Tadeo Olmedilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Boldu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo ScrugenFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
