The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Golden Dragón F.C's Ceyhan Celvet got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, Ceyhan Celvet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lu Zhen Sheng. DREAM TEAM WORLD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ceyhan Celvet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Lu Zhen Sheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceyhan Celvet in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in DREAM TEAM WORLD's zone, Alan Petersen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lu Zhen Sheng came out of the goal and Alan Petersen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Koča Kafarov sped through Golden Dragón F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hilario Pesquera. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Petersen in the 33rd minute of play forced DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalkeeper Lu Zhen Sheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Golden Dragón F.C's goalkeeper Hilario Pesquera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Koča Kafarov. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Dragón F.C's zone, Koča Kafarov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Pesquera came out of the goal and Koča Kafarov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ceyhan Celvet to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Golden Dragón F.C's Ceyhan Celvet dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The supporters of Golden Dragón F.C booed when DREAM TEAM WORLD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Koča Kafarov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Koča Kafarov kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Dario Betzanos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golden Dragón F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Dario Betzanos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lu Zhen Sheng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After taking down the ball on Golden Dragón F.C's corner Aureliusz Vaabengaard fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lu Zhen Sheng quite easily take care of the ball. In the 72nd minute, Dario Betzanos made a precise shot to the right of Lu Zhen Sheng. DREAM TEAM WORLD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. DREAM TEAM WORLD made a substitution. Elpidio Curcio replaced Jonathan Otto. In the 82nd minute, Armando Nevada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute Dario Betzanos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lu Zhen Sheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Elpidio Curcio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hilario Pesquera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3.
