The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingimundur Eiríksson in the 5th minute of play forced Ascacibar-Pérez's goalkeeper Albino Gutxi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Apolo Gabirel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ingimundur Eiríksson took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albino Gutxi. Albino Gutxi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Ingimundur Eiríksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albino Gutxi was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ingimundur Eiríksson made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Oswaldo Jacinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ascacibar-Pérez players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
