In the 16th minute ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were awarded a corner. Petrică Măcriș went to the cornerflag to take it. 19 minutes into the match, Elpidio Francis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edoardo Grande. ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elpidio Francis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Francis in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edoardo Grande prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute Gabriel Soin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edoardo Grande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Francis in the 34th minute of play. Vicente Columbo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Elpidio Francis might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edoardo Grande. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elpidio Francis ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Francis in the 44th minute of play forced ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ's goalkeeper Edoardo Grande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Aristides Asteri was substituted for Arnaldo Gabon.

The wind increased when André Luís Koehler made the kick off in the second half. Edoardo Grande was left in no man's land by his defense there! ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Timoteo Basualdo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Severo Chucho in the 70 minute of the game. ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ's Edoardo Grande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Monclús in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th minute André Monclús shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edoardo Grande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Edelmiro Selmo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Branislav Velchevski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. André Monclús scored 7-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edoardo Grande, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edoardo Grande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Monclús, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ defense, André Monclús kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edoardo Grande. The ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edoardo Grande should have stopped the shot. 90 minutes into the match, ⳊⲀⳐⲀ́ⲤⲦⳔⲤⲞⲊ's Gabriel Soin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Branislav Velchevski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th minute André Monclús shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edoardo Grande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
