Thanks to some nice moves Arlindo Silveira could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Bernardo Moreira however easily saved by the left post. If Simão Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraná Clube Brasil's goalkeeper Biagio Furino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Warren FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Serginho Munhoz came free, but Bernardo Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arlindo Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Moreira having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The Warren FC - DMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Warren FC - DMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
