An unexpectedly hard shot by Simo Mihklisaar in the 17th minute of play forced Grêmio Papão de WC's goalkeeper Andréas Linquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raphael Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Mika, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andréas Linquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simo Mihklisaar in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rdth minute of the game Simo Mihklisaar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio Papão de WC's Andréas Linquist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Grêmio Papão de WC defense, Zbigniew Zatorski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andréas Linquist. The Grêmio Papão de WC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andréas Linquist should have stopped the shot. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emiliano Toribio in the 28th minute. A nice corner shot did that Emiliano Toribio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Andréas Linquist quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zbigniew Zatorski in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andréas Linquist saved Grêmio Papão de WC from getting behind. In the 39thth minute of the game Zbigniew Zatorski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio Papão de WC's Andréas Linquist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Zbigniew Zatorski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Andréas Linquist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 45 played minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Tim-Florian T. Hansen. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Tony Thanos was substituted for Simo Mihklisaar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
