The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jailson Soares came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Zbigniew Zatorski. But to his dismay, Zbigniew Zatorski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Jailson Soares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zbigniew Zatorski went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Breguete FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Bruno Alves hit a great ball. Zbigniew Zatorski struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Jailson Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-. Jailson Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Zatorski in the 13th minute of play. If Zbigniew Zatorski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the match, Breguete FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zbigniew Zatorski came free, but Jailson Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Allan Barral came free, but Raphael Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 17 minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eugênio de Carvalho who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Eugênio de Carvalho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Raphael Dantas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Zbigniew Zatorski put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jailson Soares. 26 minutes into the match, Edgar Matos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raphael Dantas. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgar Matos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Jailson Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbigniew Zatorski, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Zbigniew Zatorski in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Breguete FC's goalie prevented a goal. Jailson Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Toribio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Zbigniew Zatorski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zbigniew Zatorski did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-1 to the left of a surprised Jailson Soares 43 minutes into the match. Breguete FC's Jailson Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbigniew Zatorski in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugênio de Carvalho to make the kick off. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Zbigniew Zatorski got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jailson Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Quirino in the 55th minute of play. Raphael Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Raphael Dantas got control of the ball when Roderick van Boxel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zbigniew Zatorski kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Giovani Luz was substituted for Pedro Luís Furtado. The supporters of Breguete FC booed when Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbigniew Zatorski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tony Thanos scored 5-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jailson Soares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- were awarded a corner. Emiliano Toribio went to the cornerflag to take it. Allan Barral charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Allan Barral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jailson Soares had in the 79thth minute some difficulties stopping Emiliano Toribio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jailson Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbigniew Zatorski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute of the match Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a corner. Breguete FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emiliano Toribio ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 89 played minutes Breguete FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Matos. In the 95th minute, Mauro Quirino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
