With a little luck, Maricá FC's Baltazar Pemjean got control of the ball when Ayi Kusumah tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bass Dost blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baltazar Pemjean having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bass Dost got free with Baltazar Pemjean in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baltazar Pemjean stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bass Dost's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Bass Dost succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 84th playminute. The supporters of Red Bull Magnus booed when Maricá FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Renato Rosado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Maricá FC's zone, Bass Dost stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltazar Pemjean came out of the goal and Bass Dost tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bass Dost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 95 minutes into the game, Maricá FC's Enginalp Türkdoğan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cláudio Bittencourt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. The Red Bull Magnus supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Red Bull Magnus would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
