Paulinho Hoffmann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Baltazar Pemjean. Maricá FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Laguna Sunrise FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomé Sá was slow to take the kick. During this time Maricá FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Tomé Sá almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Laguna Sunrise FC's Emílio Peres did a great save. Enginalp Türkdoğan struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Emílio Peres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maricá FC. Maricá FC's Enginalp Türkdoğan came free and shot a quick shot against goal 16 minutes in the game, fortunately Emílio Peres had problems saving as it came toward the left post. A collision led to Laguna Sunrise FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Hélder de Lima hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the game, Enginalp Türkdoğan lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Emílio Peres. Emílio Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Giliusson in the 25th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Maricá FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Laguna Sunrise FC:s goal. Enginalp Türkdoğan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Peres having to interfere. The supporters of Maricá FC booed when Laguna Sunrise FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Laguna Sunrise FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Enginalp Türkdoğan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Patrik Giliusson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emílio Peres having to make a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Paulinho Hoffmann made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Juan Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Pemjean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otávio Pitta hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. A collision led to Laguna Sunrise FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Paulinho Hoffmann hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Enginalp Türkdoğan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emílio Peres. Laguna Sunrise FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enginalp Türkdoğan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Emílio Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enginalp Türkdoğan, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute Emiliano Pezzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Patrik Giliusson notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Laguna Sunrise FC's Emílio Peres. Emílio Peres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emílio Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enginalp Türkdoğan in the 66th minute of play. Juan Andrade who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Baltazar Pemjean when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Juan Andrade blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baltazar Pemjean having to make a save. Juan Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the game, Hélder de Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laguna Sunrise FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maricá FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. In the 85th minute, Diguinho Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Enginalp Türkdoğan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Patrik Giliusson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Maricá FC's Baltazar Pemjean got control of the ball when Juan Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Maricá FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Hoffmann came free, but Baltazar Pemjean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 99 minutes into the match, Maricá FC's goalkeeper Baltazar Pemjean had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Andrade. Maricá FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
