In the 13th minute Juan Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Laguna Sunrise FC's goalkeeper Emílio Peres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 16 minutes Laguna Sunrise FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eduardo Paraense who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Lupere FC - DMZ's Laerte Torres got a free kick in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Lupere FC - DMZ's Sermet Tacal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emílio Peres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emílio Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sermet Tacal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wellington Ferraz made in the 29th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Diguinho Abreu however managed to control. 31 minutes into the match, Sermet Tacal notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Laguna Sunrise FC's Emílio Peres. Emílio Peres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hélder de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Sermet Tacal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-0 in the 36th playminute. When Wellington Ferraz fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laguna Sunrise FC's protests and gave Wellington Ferraz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, Sermet Tacal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Laguna Sunrise FC's Wellington Ferraz got a free kick in the 61st minute. Sermet Tacal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Emílio Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Diguinho Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th match minute, Laguna Sunrise FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diguinho Abreu to maneuver through the defense. Emílio Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sermet Tacal in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Sermet Tacal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Andrade came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Telmo Valadares could save by the left post. Telmo Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Andrade in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Lupere FC - DMZ's Fabrício Jardel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emílio Peres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Emílio Peres came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Lupere FC - DMZ's Sermet Tacal. But to his dismay, Sermet Tacal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. In the 83rd minute Sermet Tacal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Laguna Sunrise FC defense, Fabrício Jardel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emílio Peres. The Laguna Sunrise FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emílio Peres should have stopped the shot. Laguna Sunrise FC's Emílio Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sermet Tacal in the 92nd minute of play. Sermet Tacal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Peres having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Lupere FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Telmo Valadares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Andrade. Lupere FC - DMZ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
