In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Ahlqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 13th match minute, Utopía Muerta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Santiago to maneuver through the defense. Arkadiusz Piatek scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl-Johan Ahlqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Black Rose 1979 defense, Arkadiusz Piatek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Johan Ahlqvist. The Black Rose 1979 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Johan Ahlqvist should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseo Berriotxoa in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mano Hume prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Arkadiusz Piatek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mano Hume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaufred Betanzos in the 26th minute of play. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uriel Santiago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Arkadiusz Piatek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anier Johans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Utopía Muerta FC's Mano Hume proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Utopía Muerta FC from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseo Berriotxoa was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Venceslao during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joel Venceslao hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Arkadiusz Piatek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fermin Martinez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist made a huge save. In the 66th minute, Utopía Muerta FC's Fermin Martinez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Karl-Johan Ahlqvist. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fermin Martinez in the 70th minute. Fermin Martinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Johan Ahlqvist having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Alp Kaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Utopía Muerta FC's Fermin Martinez got a free kick in the 75th minute. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uriel Santiago in the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Black Rose 1979's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Hibai came free, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severo Bermudo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Black Rose 1979 getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Enzo-Nicolás Pérez hit a great ball. Mano Hume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davor Šuker in the 95th minute of play.
