An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Claude in the 7th minute of play forced Club Dep. Union Madereros's goalkeeper Luis Swain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Fidel Macerio made a precise shot to the right of Luis Swain. Club Dep. Union Madereros's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 17th minute, Isaias Sazon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luis Swain was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Isaias Sazon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Swain having to interfere. Luis Swain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Halil Niğdeli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Davis Doty made in the 27th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Geordi Berthelette however managed to control. Pastor Frantzes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cornelio Colas in the 32nd minute. Isaias Sazon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Swain read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Sajones F.C. were awarded a corner. Isaias Sazon went to the cornerflag to take it. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Dep. Union Madereros's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Isaias Sazon was slow to take the kick. During this time Sajones F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. In the 40th minute, Isaias Sazon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Isaias Sazon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sajones F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Isaias Sazon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis Swain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cornelio Colas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Pastor Frantzes made a huge save. After the first half Sajones F.C. were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ismael Ourente to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaias Sazon in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luis Swain saved Club Dep. Union Madereros from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaias Sazon got free with Luis Swain in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isaias Sazon's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luis Swain firmly grabbed it by the left post. Luis Swain made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Isaias Sazon sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Colas in the 59th minute of play forced Sajones F.C.'s goalkeeper Pastor Frantzes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Swain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Sazon, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Hugo Raitin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luis Swain. That made the score 0-4 in the 85 minute of play. In the 88th minute of the game Sixto Janpier made a throw-in which Geordi Berthelette played forward. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Luis Swain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Dep. Union Madereros from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute, Hugo Raitin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Sajones F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Dep. Union Madereros.
